The trek passes through famous Himalayan settlements including Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, and Gorak Shep before reaching Everest Base Camp. From Base Camp, you can admire the surrounding peaks and the spectacular Khumbu Glacier and icefall.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. Meet your trekking team and attend a detailed briefing about the Everest Base Camp adventure. Prepare your trekking equipment and enjoy the evening exploring Kathmandu. Overnight at a hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Lukla and Trek to Phakding

Take an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, enjoying spectacular mountain views during the flight. Upon arrival, begin trekking toward Phakding through beautiful mountain scenery and traditional villages. Overnight at a local teahouse.

Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar

Continue trekking along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges and entering Sagarmatha National Park. The trail climbs through forests before reaching the famous Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar. Overnight at a teahouse.

Day 4: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

Spend the day acclimatizing to the increasing altitude. Explore Namche Bazaar and take a short hike to nearby viewpoints for your first impressive views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and other Himalayan peaks. Overnight at a teahouse.

Day 5: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

Continue along a scenic trail with spectacular mountain views before descending toward the Dudh Koshi River. Climb through rhododendron and pine forests to Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery. Overnight at a teahouse.

Day 6: Tengboche to Dingboche

Descend through forests before crossing the Imja Khola. Continue through traditional Sherpa villages and increasingly alpine landscapes toward Dingboche. Enjoy views of Ama Dablam and the surrounding mountains. Overnight at a teahouse.

Day 7: Acclimatization Day in Dingboche

Take a rest and acclimatization day in Dingboche. Enjoy a short hike toward nearby viewpoints or higher elevations before returning to the village. This day helps prepare your body for the higher elevations ahead. Overnight at a teahouse.

Day 8: Dingboche to Lobuche

Continue climbing through the alpine landscape toward Lobuche. The trail passes through memorials dedicated to climbers who lost their lives on Everest and other Himalayan peaks. Enjoy spectacular views of Nuptse and the surrounding mountains. Overnight at a teahouse.

Day 9: Lobuche to Everest Base Camp via Gorak Shep

Trek toward Gorak Shep, the final settlement before Everest Base Camp. After a short break, continue along the Khumbu Glacier toward Everest Base Camp. Explore the base camp area and enjoy views of the surrounding peaks and glacier before returning to Gorak Shep for the night.

Day 10: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar and Pheriche

Start early with a hike to Kala Patthar for spectacular sunrise views of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Pumori, and Ama Dablam. Descend to Gorak Shep for breakfast before continuing downhill toward Pheriche. Overnight at a teahouse.

Day 11: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar

Continue descending through the Khumbu Valley, passing through Pangboche, Tengboche, and beautiful mountain forests. Follow the Dudh Koshi Valley back toward Namche Bazaar. Overnight at a teahouse.

Day 12: Namche Bazaar to Lukla

Complete the final trekking day by descending toward the Dudh Koshi River and continuing through familiar mountain villages and forests. Reach Lukla and celebrate the completion of your Everest Base Camp trek. Overnight at a lodge.

Day 13: Lukla to Kathmandu

Take a morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu, weather permitting. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy free time for shopping, sightseeing, or relaxing in Kathmandu. Overnight at a hotel.

Day 14: Departure from Kathmandu

Your Everest Base Camp Trek concludes today. Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy some free time in Kathmandu before your airport transfer for your onward journey.
