Manaslu Region

The Manaslu Circuit skirts the eighth-highest peak in the world (8,163m) through a restricted area that requires a special permit, which keeps trail traffic far lower than Everest or Annapurna. The route crosses the Larkya La pass at 5,106m and passes through Tibetan-influenced villages in the upper valley.
